Howard Nelson appointed as new Lincolnshire County Lead

Apr 30, 2024

{websiteNameAuto} would like to share news of a wonderful gain for  Lincolnshire Scout County. It is with great pleasure that we announce BSO's Programme Team Lead - Howard Nelson as the new County Lead Volunteer for Lincolnshire, effective from May 24th, 2024.

Howard, a seasoned leader within the Scouting community across Lincolnshire, BSO and nationally, brings a wealth of experience from his roles across Scout and Explorer sections, not to mention his instrumental contributions to {websiteNameAuto} as a Deputy Commissioner (Programme). His profound impact on programme, activities, and training has greatly enriched BSO, making Scouting both safe and fun for everyone involved.

Whilst BSO's loss is Lincolnshire's gain, we extend our deepest gratitude to Howard for his tireless dedication to BSO and wish him well in his new senior leadership role with Lincolnshire.

Howard's departure will of course leave a significant gap and we will soon be advertising for a new Programme Team Lead for the Area.

Since 2017, we have attended many international summer jamborees which have all been chosen by our members

Great representation from BSO at the British Embassy in Madrid as the Royal British Legion launched their Poppy Day appeal 2024. Well done to Catherine Fenton and the 1st Madrid Scout Group for achieving recognition for the amount of their donation from last year. Amazing community engagement with John Pearce and the team from 1st Majadahonda Scout Group along with Southern Europe DLV Kenny Lee.
